Road safety remains a significant concern nationwide due to high traffic fatality rates, so avoid night travel and choose reputable transport providers. While the political situation is stable following the March 2026 elections, stay aware of occasional bandhs (strikes) that may disrupt services, though tourists are generally exempted from disruptions.
